$1000.00 Donated to ALS Association on “Give To The Max” Day 2023

Today, November 16, 2023, the Michelle Gargaro Foundation announced that it has made a donation in the amount of $1,000.00 to the ALS Association as part of Minnesota’s “Give To The Max” day. The donation is part of the ongoing effort of the foundation to provide support and assistance to the ALS community. The foundation would like to thank all of those who have made donations such as this possible through their support of the Michelle Gargaro Foundation and their participation in our fundraising events.

Foundation Makes Donation to the Healy Platform/Mass General ALS Clinic

The Michelle Gargaro Foundation announces that it has made a donation in the amount of $2,000.00 to the Healy Platform/Mass General ALS Clinic. The Healy Platform was launched in July of 2020. It offers a new and unique trial process designed to accelerate the development of effective treatments for people living with ALS. This process allows for more than one drug/treatment to be evaluated at the same time, also allowing for the greater sharing and coordination of trial test data and information. Foundation Makes Donation to Annual ALS Walk

The Michelle Gargaro Foundation has donated $1,000.00 in support of the annual ALS Walk to the local chapter of the ALS Association. This year’s walk is being held at the Mall of America on Saturday, September 16 th . The Michelle Gargaro Foundation wishes all walkers in the event a fun and rewarding day.

2023 Golf Event Raises $6K

The 2023 Michelle Gargaro Memorial Golf Classic was held on June 9,2023 at Gopher Hills Golf Course in Cannon Falls, MN. Nineteen teams helped raise money for the ALS community and to help those living with ALS. The tournament was won by team Hellyer. Team Micek finished 2nd and Team R. Gargaro came in a close 3rd . All 19 teams golfed well. The Michelle Gargaro Foundation and Gargaro family would like to thank everyone who made this years’ event a success. Foundation Makes Two Donations to ALS Association

Earlier this month, our foundation made two donations to the local ALS Association chapter. A donation of $2,000.00 in honor of Michelle’s memory was made to the chapter in conjunction with their annual walk to defeat ALS. We asked that the donation be targeted to areas of research directed at finding meaningful treatments and/or cures for ALS. Our foundation made an additional donation of $1,000.00 to the local ALS chapter to be put towards providing support to ALS caregivers in their care of loved ones affected by ALS.

Fundraising Update

With the support of generous donors to the Michelle Gargaro Foundation, we have been able to provide growing financial assistance in a variety of ways in the battle against ALS. After our kickoff event last fall we reported that we had made an initial donation to the ALS Association in the amount of $2,000.00 to go towards research in finding potential treatments and cures for ALS. Earlier this year we donated funds totaling over $1,000.00 as part of a donation related to the ALS Association’s annual Gala. This included a general donation of $500.00 to go towards additional research efforts [...]
